"Since I picked up a skateboard, I would always be the one who remembered to bring along my little red snappy camera that I got for a fiver. This thing in between getting bashed around in my backpack and getting held together with skateboard stickers would be my first hit into the world of skateboarding photography.
Shoeboxes soon filled up pretty much cataloging my friend’s existence whenever they were on a board. Then one day I put myself in the unlikely position of moving for a while to a hillbilly town in Indiana, I met hutch who made a zine and asked for some of my pictures, this then gave me a reason to take all these photos. I got given my first S.L.R., some dodgy Russian light- leaking contraption, and with a whole bunch of time on my hands, I decided to learn how the thing worked.
Years later I still enjoy lying in drains contorting my body into positions that make yoga teachers cringe, just to get an angle I’m happy with. T.L.B., Vuckovich, Brittain, Wig and Hutch - my shutter finger salutes you all."
