Since he was born Lex has been obsessed by cameras, he cannot say 'no' to them, his grandfather and uncle both being photographers it would seem to be in his family's blood.
One of Lex's first memories of photography was when he was six, his older sister had been given a camera for her birthday by their father and he was told he was too young to have one.
Lex didn't start skating until he was sixteen and became instantly amazed by the media side of things, the way skateboard magazines around the world captured such amazing images.
This is what sparked his real passion for photography and he started taking it much more seriously in 2005, where he started submitting work to Sidewalk in 2006 and Document skateboarding magazine in 2007. At this time he was studying cinematography/photography as a degree.
Since completing his degree he works freelance, both assisting and his own commissioning work in and out of London. He works mainly in the advertising, editorial and commercial world for various high-profile clientele (including Nike). His main passion still remains as skateboarding.
